Rita Spider born in 1983, is a hard Intensive Training Artist .
Been study intensively several Dance styles since age of 6 years old. In New York she received intensive training at the Alvin Ailey Dance School, Martha Graham Dance School, Broadway Dance Center, Steps On Broadway, Peridance (NY/USA), Body and Pole. In London she received intensive training at the London Contemporary Dance School, The Place Dance School, Laban School, Dance Works Studios, Urban Dance Academy, Studio 68. In Canada she had intensive training at the Cirque du Soleil Training School. In Los Angeles she received trainings at the Millennium Dance Studios, Debbie Reynolds Dance School, Edge Dance Center. In Portugal: Contemporary Dance Academy of Setúbal (conservatory); Visaginasio (Sintra); Hip Hop College(Lisbon) and many others. She have a Graduation in Business from NOVA - Business and Economics School in Carcavelos , and at the moment she is doing a Master Degree in Choreography Creation at Escola Superior de Dança in Lisbon.
Worked closely with several choreographers: Jamie King, Sonya Tayeh, Rich & Tone Talauega, Tabith & Napoleon Dumo, Travis Payne, Kenrick Sandy H2O, Colin Sinclair, Stuart Thomas, Hakeem, Tonia, Muktar, Daniel "Cloud" Campos, Tamara Campos, Mandy Moore, Kwenda Lima, Daniel Cardoso, Brian Freedman, Brian Green, among many others.
In 2010, she audition for Cirque du Soleil, becoming part of the creation and world tour show the “Michael Jackson, The Immortal World Tour” (4 years of Tour).
In USA she performed in television shows such as the X-Factor (USA), CNN (Times Square, NYC), The Immortalize Ceremony of Michael Jackson (Hollywood/LA), Dancing with the Stars (LA). In London she worked as a choreographer and dancer for MTV, BBC 1, 2 and 4, ITV, Trouble TV channels.
Invited Choreographer of So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing with the Stars and Dance with Me TV Shows, over in Portugal. Regular invited guest to lecture Workshops and Courses by several Dance Academies and Conventions in Portugal.
She create, choreographed and performed Virtual Motion graphics Shows: Power, Ano, Emo’irtual, Duel’irtual, Beyond Mood. All Show were performed for private Corporate Events and Art Festivals.
Create and Choreographed Shows like : SMILE , CEGUEIRA, U_realities, Vortexxx. Hotel Freedom, Co-choreographed The Book of Kuraka with Boy Blue Company, create Mind Blow, To BE or Not to Be, Animal, ButterFly, Fenix, Abstractin’, TIME and many others...They were performed in different Festivals and Theaters around Portugal.
Choreographer of the new version of the famous Musical CHICAGO, for Trindade Theatre in Lisbon and other few Musicals.
Recently, was a dancer for FREE YOUR MIND, The Matrix now... in Manchester UK... with an amazing creative team...
She is a creative art and quatum lover.
